"The chance of encountering a Rolex Daytona that has been serviced by Rolex Atelier de Geneve with a preserved heritage story is very unlikely..." In case an original Rolex Daytona is offered for sale in this condition, true collectors take notice. To own a manual wound Rolex Daytona pre 1988 is a dream for many collectors and watch afficionados. This absolutely great piece is a Dutch delivered Daytona that was only worn previously by one person. And one person only. Likely this watch is purchased in 1973, as a gift from a sailor to his beloved wife. It was mainly worn as a measurement instrument, for timing race horse riding. This watch was worn from 1973 to late 2010s until it was damaged when the owner fell of a horse. With pride the watch was still occasionally worn. After passing away, the watch was found after some time by the family. The watch was sent to Rolex Atelier de Restauration to bring the Rolex Daytona in the best shape possible, whereby the watch has remained its true character. The dial, hour and minute hands, bracelet and lumeplots are still original. We believe only functional replacements have taken place to make it a timepiece a true collector can wear without a doubt comfortable on a daily base with true peace of mind. As the order (see pictures) entails you can see the watch condition upon receipt detailed. Whereby condition per aspect and necessary work have been formulated in a very direct and clear way. The owner of the watch has decided to do the necessary work and not the optional (restoration of luminous material and hours and minute hand) in order to maintain the true "heart" and character of the watch. The case has been restored and is extremely well finished with the correct Rolex tools which brings the watch back to the shape that it actually was as it left the factort in 1972, albeit only still having the very well aged dial, hands and original luminous material (who is going to use this watch to read the time in the dark anyways, right?). The set comes with the original box and bracelet. In addition, the Rolex Atelier de Restauration Service box, the restauration booklet, an additional and fully original and new rolex strap and buckle, the original shipment boxes and invoices and watch assessment will be complemented with the box. This watch has been validated on authenticity by our watchmakers. If this is not enough on its own, the watch is also covered by Fratello with a great story and the preserved heritage of the watch. This is truly something you will most likely encounter once in your life! Read full Fratello article here: https://www.fratellowatches.com/1972-rolex-cosmograph-daytona-6265/
